Marc Mitonne is cosy French restaurant near the Halles and Louvre area in central Paris. The recipes are family traditions and the ambiance is rustic. The main room has massive wooden beams and stone walls decorated with copper and wooden utensils. There is also a charming vaulted cellar room with a 17th century listed well and an outside terrace for fine weather. As with most traditional French restaurants, the dishes change with the seasons, however the difference here is that everything is mitonne which means cooked slowly. Veal, duck foie gras, lamb, beef on the bone, mussels and much more. For dessert you might be tempted by the roasted figs with caramel or the profiteroles. It is also possible to have a bit of a dance in one of the main rooms and the restaurant regularly has different live entertainment such as a magician on a Saturday, head massages before dinner on a Friday...
